US Tour 2006

US Tour 2006

We have been traveling for three days!  We started on Monday the 8th of May.  We drove to Albuquerque, NM.  We drove through the desert.  The next day we drove to Oklahoma City, in Oklahoma.   We stayed with Scott, who worked for Mimeistry until last year.  Being in Oklahoma, we left this morning in a thunderstorm.  It was beautiful.  The last two nights we only had 5 hours of sleep each night.  (If it was that much!!)

What an experience.  Just driving through all these states is amazing, and to see that each one is so much different than the other.  I was amazed that Arizona had forests, and that Taxes is so flat.  It really looks like a huge steam roller went through the place.

We are enjoying each other’s company… If I’m not driving, I’m resting in the back. Today I decided to drive in the hired van.  It’s comfy.  I miss my wife and tomorrow is my daughter’s 2nd birthday.  I really hope that they have a good time.  I heard that Mikkelle is swimming a lot.  That is so great. It means that she is a bit like me as well. (ha-ha)

As we are driving now to Tulsa, there are oil drills everywhere.  It is just a reminder of this country’s wealth.  It is very beautiful here.  This country is so vast and expansive.  It just goes on and on.

Today is Mikkelle’s birthday!!! She is 2 years old.  WE have just left from Emily’s grandparents last night.  Personally I did not sleep too much, or let me say, not wake up early enough.  I just had half an hour to get ready.  Yesterday we drove through Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.  That is the most so far on one day.  We will see where the road will take us today.  It is our last day of driving for our DC stop.
